I was a freshman and he was a senior at Mount Mercy University. We both were a part of the soccer program. You would have thought our paths would have crossed then but it happened once the season had ended. One night, I decided to join my friend who was going Black Friday shopping with his buddies. There I was crutching along with my friend to get in the car that belonged to some random guy. Once I got in the car I thought to myself, “holy crap whoever is driving this car is cute”. I quickly texted my friend in the car and asked him if he could set me up with the driver. As I was sitting there in the backseat of that Tahoe, I thought to myself, “Jesus Sami, You’ve got sweatpants on, two crutches, and a cast on.. Well, at least it only goes up from here". Little did I know, that random guy who was driving me to the mall ended up being the love of my life. Life is a game of chance and luck. We are just thankful we were lucky enough to have met eachother.
