In the heart of Lexington, KY, an unexpected encounter would bring together Samantha and Waco, setting them on a path to lifelong companionship.

The Meeting

In March of 2021, Waco and Samantha met at the Horse and Jockey. Samantha was there catching up with her Freshmen year roommates from the University of Kentucky. A friend of Samantha's brought Waco and his coworker to meet the group.

As fate would have it, Waco and Samantha ended up sitting across from one another. It wasn't long before the two were drawn together.

The First Date

Intrigued by their unexpected connection, Waco asked Samantha out a few days later. Samantha eagerly agreed!

Their date began at The Burl Arcade, where pinball machines and arcade games provided the perfect atmosphere to ease their first date jitters.

Next, they walked to Goodfellas, where they shared slices of pizza. As they talked, they discovered layers in each other’s personalities, each story and shared joke bringing them closer.

The evening came to a close at Henry Clay's Pub, a place where time seemed to slow down. Over drinks and dancing, they found themselves excited for what was to come.

The Journey Begins

From that unforgettable day, Waco and Samantha knew they had stumbled upon something extraordinary. Their love story sparked in the unlikeliest of places and grew deeper with each passing day. Waco proposed to Samantha two-and-a-half years later in Forsyth Park on a trip to Savannah, Georgia.

Waco and Samantha look back at that coincidental meeting at the Horse and Jockey with fondness, grateful for the twist of fate that brought them together and excited for the many chapters yet to be written.
