Have you ever heard of the Red String Theory?In many cultures, there are different definitions of fate. One of them is the red string of fate also commonly known as the red string of marriage. The two people connected by the red thread are destined lovers, regardless of place, time, or circumstances. This magical cord may stretch or tangle but never break. Some of you may know that Julian and I met from soccer, back in 2022, but in reality, I knew of Julian when I was in middle school, and he was in high school. My friend Kassy's older sister, Amanda, was friends with the twins, Julian and Jasmine, and every now and then Amanda would bring them up in conversation. At the time, I had no idea who these people were, until later on Julian would be in college and I in high school. I, still being friends with Kassy and Amanda, heard Julian's name again and by then in 2012 or so, social media had already taken off, so I may have stalked him a time or two, but I never got the chance to meet him. As time went on, him and I both went through college, played soccer and of course dated other people. What is even crazier to me, is that we both still kept playing soccer in our adult lives and we never crossed paths. Up until spring 2022, we started playing on the same coed soccer team together, now at the time I didn't put two and two together that this was the Julian I had a crush on, for over ten plus years ago. Then came our coed state cup in Houston end of May, majority of our teammates stayed at an air bnb with a pool and of course we had to throw a pool party to start our tournament off. Next thing you know, Jules and I are sitting by the pool together chatting it up. To this day, him or I couldn't tell you what we were talking about, there may have been some drinks involved, but by far we can only assume it was one of the best conversations that brought us together. After the tournament we returned home and of course I had to shoot my shot, I had a crush on this guy ten years ago. So, I messaged him on groupme and from then on, I went to all his games at Mainland soccer complex, we played together on Sunday, and I even joined his Tuesday/Thursday coed soccer team at the time. Nowadays, Julian and I continue to play soccer, we enjoy cooking and drinking wine together, traveling on new adventures, watching tons of anime and enjoying our time with our dogs Ginger and Parker and our families.

I've had Kassy alongside me since the ripe age of around 10 years old. We both had a passion for soccer and we both played on the same club team for years and then in high school we had the opportunity to play against one another. Soccer creates everlasting bonds and even though we don't play together anymore, we still find time to see one another and give each other the tea.

My very first baby cousin, she was the first baby I ever got to hold in my arms and to this day, I still can't believe how she has grown into a beautiful young lady. I am so proud of all her recent accomplishments, and I cannot wait to see her take on the world.

Morgan Smith

I introduce to you my second baby cousin, which is Morgan's little sister, who completed our little family. From Cali working on an internship to Houston where she resides and back to Austin at UT to graduate next year. This girl can do anything she sets her mind to!

Macy Smith

Sarah and I met at Starbucks and instantly became work besties. Soon after we both left Starbucks, we still stayed close to each other and that's just the type of friendship we have. Attached no matter the circumstances.

We had a mutual friend that introduced us to one another and since then we both became rave babes and dragged our significant others along to concerts. I had the pleasure of taking part in her beautiful wedding and I am so happy to say she will be a part of my special day as well.

Aubree is the daughter of my bridesmaid, Sarah, and she couldn't be more precious. I've had the pleasure of taking her to school, picking her up from school, even babysitting her and taking her to my soccer games. Aubree also has the privilege of calling me Tia Sam.

Kara has such a kind and sweet soul and on this special day Kara gets to be a part of it. Kara is the oldest niece and has two younger sisters that will be our flower girls. Kara is the daughter of Jessica and Rene Martinez (Best Man).

Nora is the second oldest of our nieces and boy, does she have some spunk and sassiness to her. We cannot wait to become official become Uncle Boo and Tia Sam to you. Nora is the daughter of Jessica and Rene Martinez (Best Man).

Moving on to the last, but not least the youngest of our nieces Isla. Isla is the cutest little bean, and this will be the second time she gets to be a flower girl. Isla is the daughter of Jessica and Rene Martinez (Best Man).

Cameron is our nephew, and he is the son of Jasmine and JB Gates. I am so excited for this little man to strut his stuff down the aisle with us on our special day.

Rene is Julian's older brother, and we are so happy to have him take part on our wedding day. Rene is married to Jessica Martinez, and they have three beautiful girls together.

During their college years Julian met Pajaro at St. Mary's and they played soccer together for a year. Once Julian graduated college, they got a house together and they roomed with one another for five to six years. Even though they aren't roomies anymore they still keep in touch and are long term friends.

Jose and Julian met in college and played soccer together throughout their years at St. Mary's. They became roommates in the dorms junior and senior year. Jose lives back in Dallas with his family, but he still makes the effort to always see Julian whenever he's in town.

Julian met Bustos in high school at O'Connor and played soccer together. They then both went to St. Mary's and played collegiate soccer together.

Julian met Luigi while in college at St. Mary's.  Made many memories together while in college and then lived together for a couple years after college. They continue to keep in touch to this day even while living in different cities.

PARKING AT VENUE

Below is some information for parking and some tips and tricks for what transportation would be best to utilize.

Valet Parking MapIf you are using the valet service, please follow the green arrow on N. Hackberry St. That is where the valet stand will be located, and you will be arriving at the front entrance of our venue. If you are coming down Dawson St, please use the entrance on N. Hackberry as the parking located on site at The Skyline is a one-way street and you will be unable to turn down that street.

Parking yourself/ Where your car will be locatedIf you choose not to use our valet service, you are free to park anywhere around the street or use the public parking lot that is squared off on the map. Our venue is located near a neighborhood, so please be mindful about not blocking anyone in or parking in their driveway.

Travel

The riverwalk is such an awesome place to walk, eat and shop. As well as some super cute boat rides along the river.
