What airport is the best to fly into?
For anyone coming from out of province, we highly recommend flying into Kelowna International Airport (YLW). It is a 30 minute drive to Downtown Kelowna, Hotel Eldorado and other hotels in the area.
Vancouver Airport is a 4.5 hour drive to Kelowna which will require you to rent a car.
When should I book flights and rooms?
Regardless of where you choose to stay, we advise to book your accommodations as soon as possible if you know that you will be attending as Kelowna is a high tourism spot during this time of year. We have received a 30% discount on all rooms at the Hotel Eldorado & Manteo Resort. Bookings at the resort are on a first come, first serve basis.
What if I do not want to stay at Hotel Eldorado or Manteo Resort?
If you do not wish to stay at Hotel Eldorado or Manteo Resort, that is perfectly okay! There are plenty of hotels and airbnb's close by to book. We have provided a couple links of hotels in the area on the Travel page. Feel free to look around at other hotels as well.
Keep in mind, we only have discount codes for the resort and do not have any rooms blocked off at the resort or any other hotels.
Are kids allowed?
As much as we love your little ones, we request that you only RSVP for those listed on the invite. This time could be used as a childfree getaway!
can i bring a plus one?
We can only accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you receive a plus one it will appear on your invite. We want to keep our wedding intimate with our closest family and friends!
What are some things to do in Kelowna?
There are plenty of activities to do in Kelowna! Whether you want to stroll around downtown, relax on a beach, sip on some local wines at the abundance of wineries around or play a round of golf. There truly is something for everyone! The Eldorado resort also includes a pool, hot tubs, a mini putt area and its very own little beach. This is your vacation and we want you to enjoy every bit of Kelowna while you're here!
Do you have a registry?
As we have spent the last few years making our house a home, we did not set up a traditional registry. Your presence at our wedding is truly the greatest gift we can ask for. If you do wish to send us a gift, a contribution towards our future would be greatly appreciated.
How long should I stay?
Even though this is our wedding, it is also your vacation! It is completely up to you and how long you feel comfortable staying in Kelowna. As the wedding is on a Saturday, we recommend arriving before that day so you can get settled and have some time to enjoy and explore!
What will the weather be like?
During this time of year, Kelowna can get quite hot and reach temperatures of 40°. Of course, we cannot predict the conditions but we would recommend you check the weather a few days before so you are able to pack appropriate clothing to make you feel the most comfortable while you are here.
How do I RSVP?
We have set up this wedding website with all necessary information for you to properly plan your trip. There will be RSVP's clearly stated on the wedding invitations which can be accessed through your phone or desktop. We kindly ask you to RSVP before the date specified on the invitation.
What if i have dietary restrictions or sever allergies?
We respect all dietary restrictions, intolerances and preferences. Our meal will be a buffet style and we will have options to cater for all different diets. As for allergies, we will be sure to include this question when sending out the invitations to ensure your safety and omit anything on our menu that could be harmful to you.
Will there be other events to attend other than the wedding?
For everyone else, other than family and the wedding party, there will be no other planned events to attend. This is your vacation and we would love if you spent sometime exploring and making this your own perfect weekend!
Where will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place?
Our ceremony will be outside on a rooftop patio overlooking the Okanagan Lake, and cocktail hour may take place on the rooftop patio as well or on the ballroom ground patio; either way, it will be outside. These area's can get quite hot, so we ask you prepare and dress accordingly.
As for the reception, it will be indoor with access to the outdoors on the back patio.
How long do guests have between cocktail hour and reception?
As our timeline is still being confirmed, you will have at least 1 hour between the ceremony and the reception to enjoy cocktails or freshen up.
Who can I contact if I have any other questions?
