Our story begins at the Loews Hotel in Coronado, CA during spring break of '17. Sam was on a girl's trip from PSU and Jon was stationed on Coronado after completing the SWCC pipeline for the Navy. We had mutual friends and we all met up at the bar at The Loews. After a night filled with friends and fun, Jon promised Sam he would send her the Alchemist to read so we would start a book club.

For about a year after their first meeting, Sam and Jon had contact on and off where they sent each other books, random FaceTimes , and check-ins...mostly Jon, but still. We lived in two separate states at the time and figured staying friends was easier.

Sam ended up getting a job where she frequently visited SoCal and Jon always made the effort to come and see her when he could. After a few months of back and forth visits, Jon referred to Sam as his "Girlfriend" at a BBQ with friends and Sam decided to take the leap and move in with Jon after his first deployment.

Today, we have our sweet pup Denali, and spunky cat Luna, and live in Gilbert, Arizona. A lot of chance happenings and small moments have led us to be together today. Our hearts are full that you are coming to celebrate our love and we can't wait!
