It's funny how a couple's love story unfolds; the best ones are often the least expected. John and I met almost ten years ago when a friend I had known for fifteen years shared John's phone number with me. Timid as I was, I decided to take a leap of faith and sent the first text. To this day, we wonder how our paths never crossed over the years, given that our social circles were so similar.

After days and nights of messaging and phone calls, it was time for us to meet face to face. Lucky for me, John was about to start working at the factory where I was employed. Phone conversations soon turned into flirty exchanges at work, and we eventually went on our first date. We kept it casual, enjoying pizza and then ending the night at Snow Trails bar for a couple of drinks. After that first date, we started to spend all our free time together.

Now, I won’t say that these ten years have been without obstacles. I sometimes wonder where we might have ended up if we hadn't fought through them. From meeting his daughter to my car accident and losing loved ones, our relationship has overcome many challenges. While there have been some difficult memories, the overwhelming number of good ones has allowed those tough times to fade into the background.

Now, after all these years, we are ready to embark on our next adventure: marriage. Our biggest journey together is finally here! If you know us, you know that everyone has been eagerly waiting for John to pop the question. We are excited to see what the future holds. What awaits us in the next 10, 20, or maybe even the next 50 years, if we're lucky?
