November 4, 2019 was a big day for Evan. It was his first day of his first full-time job after college, which is already a big deal. Little did he know that he would also be meeting his future wife that day, too.

Evan and Sam met at the accounting firm they both worked for at the time, Withum. Evan was a new Staff I accountant and Sam was working in HR. They met at the registration table when Evan signed in for the day. Over the course of the two week program, Evan and Sam had many moments to talk and get to know each other.

After the training program ended, Evan and Sam spent the following weeks talking nonstop and getting to know each other more.

Once 2020 hit, so did COVID, which meant they had to get creative. Through FaceTime dates to taking drives listening to music, Evan and Sam realized that they found something special.

Over the next two years, Evan and Sam went on trips, moved in together, and talked about their future. They both knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together!

On July 5, 2022, after a fun 4th of July weekend with friends and family, Evan told Sam he was going to the gym and to get ready so they could go to lunch after. Around noon, there was a knock on their apartment door and Sam opened it to see one of their best friends, Brianna, who told her to get ready with a big smile on her face.

Brie then drove Sam to different places and handed her letters from Evan, who wrote about all of the memories they had at each place. At the last stop, a beautiful gazebo at Mercer County Park near the water, Evan got down on one knee and popped the question. Sam said yes (obviously!) and the next chapter of their life began.
