Downtown Chandler is a hub of restaurants, shops, a historic hotel, and a golf course! Food places include bars and breweries, coffee shops and cafes, Mexican, Thai, ramen, steakhouses, etc.! One of our favorite hikes is Camelback mountain! Typically we ride our bikes to the trail head, then up we go. Bring water, a good attitude, and a camera for the beautiful views! Other hikes/mountain/trails to consider include South Mountain, Piestewa Peak, and Hole In the Rock.
Coming to Arizona early? Looking for a day trip? Head to Sedona! The home of the famous red rocks!!! There is so much to do and explore and it is only a 1.5-2 hour drive from Phoenix. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED if you have time :)
