Sami and Grant met briefly in high school, but reconnected in December 2022 over margaritas (thanks, Hinge!). Over the next four months, they continued to see each other long distance. Sami was still at Mizzou, which meant Grant would drive an hour and a half every few weeks for a quick dinner date. Once Sami was back in St. Louis, the two made it official and have been together ever since.
