Our Wedding

Sam and Christian met at Kentucky Wesleyan College in 2017. Both being golf team members, they would often see each other in passing, say a quick hello, and move on with their day. Christian often tried to strike up conversations on the putting green with Sam, but she would hardly even look up from her putter. One day unexpectedly, Christian made his move, and by the grace of God, Sam finally looked up from her putter and gave him a shot. Years later, they can laugh about the encounters. During college, Sam and Christian had many twists and turns in their relationship, bringing them to where they are now. They learned that love doesn't come around every day, and when you find it, you grab it and hold onto it for dear life. Some of Christian and Sam's favorite memories together are going to concerts, playing Yahtzee, and of course, going golfing. Christian proposed to Sam at fountain square in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Christian tried his best to keep his cool, but inside, he was terrified. Sam thought she was getting dinner with Christian and a few close friends, but instead, as soon as she got out of the car, Christian was down on one knee proposing under beautiful Christmas lights. Of course, Sam said yes. How could she resist her favorite person surrounded by one of her favorite things.

We have reserved a shuttle bus specially for after the wedding reception. The shuttle will run from 11:00 pm to 2:00 am and we encourage guests to please take the shuttle if planning on drinking throughout the reception. The shuttle will run back and forth to different hotels as needed. If youre planning ahead to use the bus, you can venmo me @Sam-Yake, or you can pay at the reception! Thanks everyone, stay safe!
