PHILLY CHEESESTEAK TOUR

Some of the best Philly cheesesteaks are a short walk from the hotels.....luckily the Kaplains and Hermans set out on a Cheesesteak tour last year to have rankings ready to go!! We recommend going with a bunch of people and splitting each cheesesteak into 3's or 4's so you can make it through a bunch of places!!! Also recommend trying with different cheeses.....our go to is a cheesesteak with fried onions, american cheese and tons of hoagie spread on the side :)

A short walk from the hotel was the unanimous winner of the kaplain-herman Philadelphia Cheeseteak tour. Go see for yourself!! Our other favorite is right next door.....let us know your winner!

2. Sonny's Famous Steaks

Our runner up is right next door to Oh Brother. Cannot go wrong with Sonny's. It is beyond delicious. Campos is next door as well, which is known to be Sonny's main competition on the street. However, we all agreed Oh Brother is the underdog.

3. Angelo's Pizzeria

So when Dave Portnoy visited Philly....he gave Angelos a 9.1 on the one bite pizza review ... while the Herman's are still shocked he thinks Angelos beats Tacconelli's pizza... we must agree the pizza was great and the Cheesesteak was great as well- an epic sesame seed roll. We had to pick favorites ...and this was not our favorite...but still was amazing.

Not a Cheesesteak....but while walking from Angelos to the next location, you pass through the Philly Italian market. Those who are Rocky fans- this is where rocky punches the meat like boxing bags. Cool place to walk around and get some wine!!!

Our last stop on the Cheesesteak tour was Jims. This has ALWAYS been Sami's favorite and is a staple. However......maybe they had an off day... but it sadly was unanimously the lowest score. We may have also just been very full....

The Philly classics are Genos and Pats - but personally...we like these better :)
