Outside Haymarket:

About 45 minutes away is Shenandoah State Park on the edge of Shenandoah National Park. If you drive further south, you will hit legendary hikes such as Old Rag.

Our welcome party is in Middleburg, a town we adore. Middleburg is known for its horse country history and has amazing food, antique shops, an Austrian Christmas boutique, a delectable Saturday morning farmers market, and picturesque views. It is definitely worth exploring if you have time outside weekend events!

Bluemont is another town we love with a scenic brewery called Bear Chase Brewing. If you have the chance to even just drive through, the views are priceless.

Washington, D.C. is not far from our destination, and if you have time we strongly encourage you to take a visit. Most of the museums and monuments are free to visit and rich with history. You can metro in on the Silver Line, or use Spot Hero to find a parking spot in the city!
