Our Wedding

It all started in middle school, 2012 when Lexi had the biggest crush on Sammy and they would talk all the time on their FLIP PHONES! As they entered high school, their passion for soccer would bring them closer together. Years of flirting later, on August 28th, 2018 after one of Sammys soccer games their relationship became official.

After high school, Lexi went to the University of Kansas and graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She now works her dream job in the neonatal ICU.Sammy was undecided on a major but graduated with an associates from KCKCC and JCCC. He pursued his dreams of working outside and now does tree work.

Sammy proposed in Gatlinburg, TN on the top of the smoky mountains. On their way up the ski lift, a cardinal sat waiting on a tree, the couple believes it was a sign from Lexi's great grandma (who LOVED cardinals) that she was giving her blessing. Lexi said "are you serious?" about 12 times before saying yes. They set their wedding date for August 28th, 2026 which will be their 8th anniversary as a couple.

In their free time, the couple loves to travel, play sports, and do outdoor activities.
