Their love story began on a summer youth trip in 2011. From two different cities and church youth groups, Sammy being from Fort Pierce and Ashlyne being from Homestead, they met during some down time away from activities. The setting was Orlando Florida, the same city they got married in, where they were pool side, yo tap pose, pale kaka epi plen radote. Sammy of course thought that she was lying but continued conversing with her and the rest of the friend group to move passed the awkward rejection. It seemed to be an immediate friend zone as she continued to be friendly towards him while still not giving him her number. A couple of days later, after the youth trip concluded, many members from the two different churches began adding each other on social media, Sammy would then send a friend request over to Ashlyne. Not long after sending the request, she would accept and send him a message to his inbox reintroducing herself to him while also providing her phone number at the end of the message. He took down her number, shot her a text, and the rest is history...


But we won't end it there.


For a few years they would spend their relationship being a long distance relationship while periodically taking trips to go and see each other. Now, 10+ years, two babies, marriage, and 150+ invites later, here we are explaining to you, the reader, our story.
