Mike and Sammy's story began nearly 7 years ago at a Handles Ice Cream in their hometown. After a mutual friend introduced them, they decided to meet for the first time. That night was filled with awkwardness but it was also filled with a strange amount of comfort between the both of them. That night, Sammy fell off the swing set and face planted into the dirt. She got up laughed and carried on like nothing happened, she swears that was the moment Mike fell in love with her. After that night Mike and Sammy continued to talk over a long period of time. During that time they both had made it very clear they weren’t looking, nor were they ready for a relationship. Now, obviously that didn’t go very well for either one of them. Their connection was so strong, they laughed ten times harder when they were together, and felt safe in each other's presence.

Fast forward a few months into their new relationship, Mike decided it was time to “make the first move” which has now gone down as a historic moment in their relationship. Mike was dropping Sammy off at home, and leaned in for the first kiss. Sammy proceeded to swerve his kiss and say "ew no". He tried one more time and received the same reaction. A few days went by and Mike thought he'd try one more time before he gave up entirely. Sure enough he got his kiss. From that day on they became inseparable. Their relationship has continued to grow stronger and stronger every single day. They chose each other then, and will continue to choose each other for the rest of their lives. The love they have for one another is unmeasurable.

Their story leads us to today. 6 years later and they are choosing to make the promise to continue to love each other for the rest of their lives.
