Our Story

OUR STORY

Our families first introduced Samson and I in December of 2024; by January of 2025, we met for the first time. From the very first FaceTime call, something in my heart told me this guy is the one for me. It wasn’t just the way he spoke or the way he made me laugh; it was the way conversation with him felt so natural, as if we had known each other forever. From that moment on, our connection only grew deeper.

Through countless texts (tho he was bad at responding fast enough lol), late-night FaceTime calls, and endless conversations, we got to know each other, our likes, dislikes, dreams, goals, and everything in between. We shared our passions, our fears, and the little details of our daily lives. Somewhere in the midst of all of that, we both realized something: there wasn’t a single day that passed where we didn’t talk to each other. But more than that, we didn’t want to go without talking to each other. What started as simple conversations soon became the foundation of a bond we couldn't imagine life without.

I always knew that I did not want to marry a pastor, but then, God sent Samson my way, and he wasn’t just any pastor. For him, being a pastor wasn’t just a role or a job, it was a calling, a deep, unwavering part of who he was. I could see it in the way he lived, the way he served others, and the way he carried himself. His passion for his faith, his genuine love for people, and his desire to guide others to spiritual growth went beyond just preaching from the pulpit or fulfilling religious duties. Sometimes, God works in mysterious ways by pushing us toward something we didn't see coming but ultimately leading us to the right place. In the end, God’s plan for us wasn’t what I expected, but it turned out to be exactly what I needed, a reminder that sometimes, the things we resist the most are the very things God uses to shape our destiny.

By February, we were engaged. And now, in September, we’re getting married. To some, it might seem quick, but to us, it has never felt rushed—only right. When God writes your story, there’s a deep, undeniable peace in every step.

Somehow, in the midst of all our planning, expectations, and even our own hesitations, God was writing a love story far greater than what we could have imagined. He brought two hearts together, not just in love, but in purpose. Every moment, every conversation, every step led us closer to this decision: to become one, to choose each other for life, and to honor Him in our journey together.

Now, as we take this next step, we do so with full hearts, knowing that God’s plans are always better than our own. And with Him at the center of our love, we know this is only the beginning of a beautiful journey ahead.
