Our Wedding

Ashley would say their story started in 2022 when Sam worked up the nerve and asked her out on their first date, but Sam noticed Ashley many years before. Both were an active part of Conestoga Bible Camp, and back in 2019, they were hired as counsellors in training. Although the training was done as one whole group various times before camp began, Sam and Ashley volunteered separate months, although Sam noticed Ashley right away, and knew she was someone special he had to get to know. The summer passed, and nothing sparked connection between these two. Fast forward to 2022, Ashley and Sam both decided to return to camp. One of the training days when Sam saw Ashley again, he knew he needed to do something about the feelings that have been stirring up in him over the years. So, he let three days pass after training ended, pulled together 30 followers on his newfound Instagram page, and sent Ashley a text, setting up a first date. Just under a week later, Sam picked her up, took her for coffee and walked along Uptown Waterloo, finishing off the date with some ice cream. It was just the beginning. From shared laughter to deep conversations about faith, family and future, Sam and Ashley’s connection felt effortless—like it was always meant to be. They both aligned with their goals, their morals and what they valued, so being together was fun and purposeful. With faith as their foundation and the Lord as their guide, their adventure together was only getting started. Many more memories followed, leading them to this very moment—engaged and ready for a lifetime together.

Please note that there will be a section of road blocked off for one of our venders, so avoid that location. Otherwise, parking is a short walk away, and many choose street parking as well.
