Hello, lovely friends and family! We're Sam and Doug, and we're thrilled to share our journey with you as we embark on this incredible adventure called marriage.

How It All Began

Our story started in the bustling world of dating apps, where fate and busy schedules nearly kept us apart. Sam, the busy restaurant manager, and Doug, the real estate pro, connected online. Despite what Doug likes to joke about – a playful claim of being "ghosted" – the truth was, Sam was simply juggling a hectic schedule. A spontaneous decision to leave the restaurant world led Sam to message Doug, and that's when the magic began.

The First Date

Our first date took place at a lively beerhall in Prospect Heights – the perfect middle ground between Downtown Brooklyn and Bushwick. Doug found it a tad too loud, but Sam thought it was just right. Little did Doug know that Sam was already captivated, despite his quiet demeanor on that memorable night.

Bumps Along the Way

After a few weeks of dating, Sam invited Doug to a Cinco de Mayo party that turned out to be a bit of a disaster. However, Doug's support and kindness prevailed, and that night, he officially asked to be Sam's boyfriend. Meanwhile, Sam had just ventured into real estate, and Doug became an invaluable mentor.

Love and Real Estate

As our love blossomed, so did our careers in real estate. Sam started at BHS, learned the ropes, and eventually joined Doug's family team at NestSeekers after we got engaged. In just a year of dating, we decided to buy a condo together. Although Doug had planned to propose there, the closing delays led to a magical proposal in Sam's high-rise apartment in Downtown Brooklyn.

The Proposal

In October, Doug orchestrated a surprise proposal that caught Sam off guard. After a quick errand to the bodega for a Gatorade, Sam returned home to find rose petals, a bouquet, and Doug down on one knee. The celebration continued with family and friends, a delicious dinner at Momofuku, and a romantic walk across the Manhattan Bridge.

Adventures Together

Throughout our journey, we've traveled far and wide, creating unforgettable memories. From Ireland to the Florida Keys, Fire Island to Colombia, and so many other destinations, our love has grown stronger with every adventure. We've celebrated weddings, explored new places, and created a lifetime of cherished moments.

The Next Chapter

As we merge our lives and careers, working together at NestSeekers, we've found joy in balancing our time between our cozy Downtown Brooklyn condo loft and Doug's family home in Southampton. Wedding planning took its time, but we're excited to announce that we've found the perfect venue – Full Moon Resort – where our celebration will unfold in October 2024.

Looking Ahead

As we eagerly anticipate our wedding day, we're also planning a joint bachelor trip to Puerto Vallarta and considering expanding our family with a small golden doodle. Our journey together has been filled with love, laughter, and countless adventures, and we can't wait to continue this beautiful chapter as husbands.
