Love knows no color, and for Samuel and Laura, it knew no time limit either. Their story began in August 2005, at National Technical Institute for the Deaf at the Rochester Institute of Technology, at NTID theater, where Samuel worked. He was captivated by a young woman he saw there - Laura, a freshman just starting college. He admired her personality, style, and appearance, but felt too shy to introduce himself right away.

Fate, however, had other plans. A few months later, Laura volunteered at an event selling snacks. Their eyes met, and this time, they both took a chance. Samuel finally approached her and learned her name. He was drawn to her smile, beautiful eyes, and infectious laugh. Despite Samuels shyness, Laura saw his kindness and potential. They started hanging out, and within a month, their connection blossomed into a loving relationship.

Their time together was filled with countless talks and Lauras frequent visits to the NTID theater, cherishing every moment spent with Samuel. However, loves path sometimes takes unexpected turns. Samuel decided to pursue a Theater and Criminal Justice degree at the University of Buffalo State, leading to a period of lost contact.

Despite the years that passed, Laura never forgot Samuel. In November 2022, after 15 years apart, their paths crossed again through FaceTime and texts. This reconnection reignited the spark they once shared. They rekindled their bond, traveling together and discussing their future. Their families were finally introduced, and Samuels mother’s emotional response confirmed the enduring impact Laura had on his life.

In August 2023, a planned vacation to upstate New York took a beautiful detour. A spontaneous change due to weather led them to Boston, Massachusetts. It was there, during their road trip, that Samuel found the perfect moment. With a heartwarming message and in a beautiful setting, he proposed to Laura. Her resounding yes was a testament to their unwavering love.
