Hailey and Sam met in high school due to their good friend Taylor (maid of honor). Hailey was a senior and Sam was a junior. Like all high school "crushes" go, Sam thought Hailey was cute while Hailey thought Sam liked a friend of hers but also thought Sam was cute. Turns out, after a couple of ultimate frisbee games at All Saints Parish, one Mario Kart tourney in which Sam was champion and Hailey was a runner up, and numerous dates later, Sam asked Hailey to be his girlfriend on November 27, 2019.

Hailey and Sam dated throughout the rest of their high school careers where Hailey then went to college at Xavier University with Sam finishing up his senior year. Sam then went on to Purdue University in 2021 where they had to experience long distance for the first time. Hailey would go visit with friends at Purdue to attend football games, basketball games, Halloween weekends, or to enjoy Sam’s favorite activity of creek fishing with him. They were (and still are) so joyful to be able to create these amazing memories with one another.

Hailey then graduated undergrad in 2023 and got into Xavier University’s Occupational Therapy program, deciding to stay at the same school for another 3 and a half years. There was lots of talk about the future which later transpired to Sam finishing up his undergraduate career at Purdue and purchasing a ring. On June 4, 2025 they were on a walk at Sam's family farm and Sam got down on one knee and asked Hailey to marry him. Of course she said no (hehe of course it was a yes, that is why we are here) and the wedding planning began! We are so excited for you to be a part of this adventure with us and cannot wait to see everyone on May 30, 2026!
