The two lovebirds met in high school, in math class. Sandy was obviously such a better student than Aaron - he used to try and be funny and disruptive to get her attention. They never dated in high school but they both secretly had a crush on each other. Sandy was too busy focusing on school and Aaron knew his parents were moving across the world - to Switzerland! So, Aaron graduated (he was a year older) and moved to Switzerland with his parents for a year. And they both went their separate ways. Aaron came back to America to attend college in North Carolina, and later back in NJ, where Sandy was. God had him where he needed to be. Aaron soon accepted an offer to work for Amazon in New Hampshire, so he had to move (please do not complain to him about your package because he probably cannot help you). Come Christmas time of 2019, Aaron reached out to Sandy, his long lost crush, who was living her life on a gap year before starting medical school. Sandy was a little surprised. She was not looking for a relationship and knew she was going to be extremely busy starting in a couple of months. Plus, Aaron was soon moving to a state about 4 hours away from NJ, where Sandy lived. Regardless, they kept texting and catching up. Sandy said something about wanting to read the entire Bible as a new years resolution, and Aaron agreed. So, the two started a bible plan on January 1, 2020. They would each read the specific chapters for the day and discuss at night when Aaron would get out of work. This Bible reading journey and Bible study they had going brought them close together. (Thank you, GOD!) Aaron planned a visit to NJ at the end of February that year, which was actually a leap year! That way, him and Sandy could go out and see each other after almost FIVE years! BUT, Sandy had not told her parents yet (her strict, Egyptian parents LOL). So, a couple weeks before Aaron was supposed to come, Sandy told her parents. Her dad has this rule that she is not allowed to go out with a guy unless her dad knows or has met the guy... Aaron had not met any of these criteria. So, Aaron had to meet Mr. Ibrahim before he could even see or take Sandy out... Aaron was NERVOUS. But he did not let that stop him! He came to the house with a huge fruit basket for Sandys parents (how sweet!) and then he took Sandy out to the nicest place overlooking the New York City skyline and they enjoyed a wonderful dinner. After, Aaron took Sandy to a cafe, where they enjoyed some coffee (Sandys favorite!!!) They ended the night by watching a movie at a cool hip movie theatre and he had her home by 930pm! So this was their very first date - February 29, 2020 (yes, a leap year so please never forget it Aaron!) And the rest is history!
