Their story began in 2014 at Stony Brook University; and more specifically on the dance floor as Luke likes to tell people. Countless bump-ins on the dance floor made it hard for Sandra to resist Luke's dance moves. Only a few months after their first encounter, Sandra agreed to be Luke's semi-formal date. While Luke did not realize at the time that Sandra would one day become his forever date, Sandra knew instantly that Luke would be someone special in her life.

Over their college years, Luke and Sandra drifted temporarily apart but eventually rekindled their flame and began a relationship filled with great adventure and true love. Through many road trips (from visiting Sandra in Ithaca while she was in Veterinary School to ski trips in the Poconos) and face-time dates, their love for each other grew stronger. Absence only made their hearts grow fonder. When Sandra graduated Veterinary school in 2022, they finally moved into their first apartment together, forming new memories including trips to the MetLife Stadium and dinner dates around their new neighborhood. During their five and half years of love, memories, and growth, Luke and Sandra became each other's better half. On March 25th, 2023 Luke asked Sandra to marry him. Ten years after they first met, you can find Luke with the same original dance moves smoking out the dance floor at their wedding on October 19, 2024.
