Our paths crossed unexpectedly in December of 2019. We both were working in our respective nursing specialties. Prior to finding each other, Stephen was in the process of venturing into the world of travel nursing, while Sandra was working full-time, in school transitioning from LPN to RN, and taking care of her two kids Cadence and Jayden. Shortly after, Stephen ended up in Iowa on a travel contract, for a few months. While in Iowa, we both checked in on each other occasionally and had pleasant random conversations to help distract and cope with our busy lives. One of these conversations involved meeting up for sushi after returning to Mississippi.

We didn't know it, but our lives would change, for the better, on June 29, 2020. We knew that we would have some ballin' sushi, but we didn't know that this would be our last first date. We got to know each other more and before the end of the date, we both had agreed to meet up for a second time. We met again and everything just grew from that point.

Some time passes by and Sandra lets Stephen meet Cadence and Jayden. We all went out for a dinner where Stephen struggled to get Cadence to open up and talk, while Jayden had no issue talking. Over time, we all started learning more about each other's characteristics and our different interests in Oreos, music, video games, and Taylor Swift.

On September 11, 2022 our lives would once again change, for the even better. This is the day that Sandra was surprised with her engagement ring and said yes to marriage. We continue to grow together and have much support and love from you all. We are very happy that you have read a bit about our story and invite you to come celebrate with us!
