There are several airports in New York/New Jersey, which should I choose?
For our friends and family travelling from Canada, we recommend Newark Airport as it is fairly close to Staten Island (~20 minutes). If you are travelling on Air Canada- they offer direct flights from Calgary to Newark
If you choose to fly on WestJet, they also offer direct flights from Calgary to JFK which is about 30-45 minutes to Staten Island.
We would not recommend LaGuardia Airport as it can take up to 90 minutes to get to Staten Island if you get stuck in New York's traffic
