Activities

Buc-ee’s Denton – A Texas must-see! Grab snacks (the gummy worms and warm candied nuts are amazing), BBQ, gas, and quirky souvenirs.

Andretti Indoor Karting & Games – A fun spot for go-karting, arcade games, and bowling.

Grandscape in The Colony – A lively area with shopping, dining, live music, and outdoor spaces.

Deep Ellum (Louie Louie’s) – Explore this vibrant Dallas neighborhood, and you might even catch Kyle playing as a surprise drummer at Louie Louie’s!

The Fort Worth Stockyards – Dive into Texas history with cattle drives, saloons, and Western shops.

Historic Downtown Grapevine – Charming streets, wineries, unique shops, and the famous Tolbert’s for Texan chili.

Lower Greenville and Bishop Arts Districts – Trendy neighborhoods with cool shops, bars, and restaurants.

Dallas World Aquarium – A stunning indoor rainforest with exotic animals and marine life.

Dallas and Fort Worth Zoos – Both are excellent options for wildlife lovers.

Dallas Arboretum – A gorgeous garden and the place where we got engaged! Don’t miss Smoky Rose across the street for amazing food and drinks.

Food

Texan BBQ – A Texas essential! Our favorites: Hard Eight, Pecan Lodge, Hurtados, and Hutchins.

Tex-Mex & Tacos – Try Pappasito’s (best fajitas, worth the extra $ for the steak), La Salsa Verde (best street tacos, try the pastor-queso), Velvet Taco (best unique tacos) or Torchy’s Tacos (best queso in the world!).

Korean BBQ – Where it all began for us on our first date! Enjoy Gen BBQ or Seapot for an interactive and delicious meal.

Kura Revolving Sushi Bar – A fun conveyor belt sushi experience with fresh options.

Kickin Crab – Amazing crawfish and seafood – messy, but worth it!

Fortune House – Incredible soup dumplings (don’t miss the Pork Xiao Long Bao).

Bushi Bushi – Delicious pork fried rice, beef and broccoli, and orange chicken.

Tolbert’s – Head to Grapevine for legendary Texas chili at this iconic spot.

Smoky Rose – Across from the Arboretum, it’s where we celebrated our surprise engagement party. A cozy spot with great food and cocktails.

Ida Claire – A Southern-inspired restaurant with creative dishes, a charming atmosphere, and an amazing outdoor patio.

Boba Tea – Cool down with boba from Kung Fu Tea, Sharetea, or Boba Republic.

We can’t wait to share this special weekend with you! Have fun exploring our favorites. 💕
