Our Wedding

Santino and I attended the same middle school in Beaumont, CA, together, but we didn't officially meet until 8th grade. The few hellos and little snide comments eventually turned into a classroom crush when our school schedules began to overlap. After one particular field trip that solidified us joining each other's circles, I was pushed out of my bus seat on the ride home, and the only seat left around me was next to him. Little did I know that the kind guy God sat me next to would instantly become my best friend, and as if that wasn't cliché enough, yes, it was raining that night (cue the Hallmark movie logo). Lots of conversations at the lunch tables and walks around the basketball black top (as all the cool kids did), somehow made Santino like me enough to ask me to be his girlfriend (whatever that means in middle school) on May 3, 2018. We met each other's parents soon to follow, and it seems like we have been inseparable ever since. Our fair share of mistakes and more awkward moments that surpassed our early teen years (especially from me) have developed into a deep respect and appreciation for the other person. We graduated from high school together after being each others date for every school dance, cheering each other on at our sporting events, and encouraging each other to apply for college scholarships after figuring out what our next steps in life would be. We promised to continue our relationship throughout our college careers, which we have had to navigate from across the country, with the goal of getting married once Santino graduated from VMI. He certainly held up his end of the bargain as he proposed while we were hiking in the canyon behind his house at sunrise on January 7, 2025. Needless to say, our two differing passions that physically drove us apart for the past 4 years did not dim that initial spark that happened over 8 years ago now.Thankfully, all of our hard work has paid off, and we have made it to this point where you are reading our story on our wedding website! I'm very proud of the personal growth we have individually made with the support of and in the best interest of one another, which helped shape us into the young adults ready to start their next chapter.I am very honored to have the opportunity to get married to such a wonderful (and handsome) man and am thankful you want to celebrate this moment with us.May God grant us many years!

Out of respect for the Orthodox Church, we ask that you abide by the church's dress code. Ladies, cover your shoulders, avoid dresses above the knee, or low-cut dresses. Feel free to remove any shawls and other accessories worn in church during the reception. Gentlemen, avoid shorts and tank tops. Thank you for your understanding!

What will be served for dinner?

Our family-style dinner will consist of lasagna with sausage and pepper alongside a side salad.Coffee and dessert to follow.If you have any dietary restrictions that need to be accommodated, please do not hesitate to contact Alexandria directly.

Phones During the Ceremony?We ask that you please keep your phones put away and silenced during the ceremony. Thank you.

Why will we hear different names other than "Santino" and "Alexandria" in the church service?During the ceremony, the Priest will mention us as "Tryphon/ Trifone" and "Alexandra" as these are our Christian Saint names. During sacraments such as marriage, we are referred to by these names.

Reception EtiquettePlease refrain from smoking on the church's property. We will only be allowed to serve wine and beer during the reception.Our church and the hall are blessed, holy buildings; please treat them accordingly.Thank you!
