Our Wedding

Sara and Matthew’s story began in 2018 at The Old Shillelagh in downtown Detroit. Sara was having a night out with friends, who were meeting up with her friend's brother—who just so happened to be friends with Matthew. It didn’t take long for the two of them to hit it off. They discovered that they are both twins and that Matthew was going to school to be a CPA and Sara was going to school to be a special education teacher- the same career paths as Matthew's parents! They spent the evening laughing, sharing stories, and quickly realizing there was something special between them. Sara and Matthew have been on exactly the same page since the first night they met. Sara and Matthew are the perfect balance—where Sara brings the organization and attention to detail, Matthew brings a calm, go-with-the-flow energy. Their differences compliment each other in all the right ways, creating a relationship that's grounded, fun, and full of love. Together, they find joy in the little things, whether it's a quiet night in or an evening out with friends. From the very beginning, their connection was effortless, and their differences have only made their bond stronger. Since that night at The Old Shillelagh, Sara and Matthew have built a life full of love, laughter, and plenty of adventure. Last year, they bought their first home together, and to keep things interesting, they recently added a playful puppy named Lucy to the mix. They’re beyond excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you. Thank you for being part of their story—they can’t wait to share the rest with you!

We will be providing a shuttle to and from our venue for guests staying at the Port Huron Hampton Inn and the Port Huron Fairfield Inn. Both hotels are located in the same parking lot. ***Final Shuttle Schedule:*** Shuttle Run 1:Hampton: Be in the lobby by 3:50 PM. Shuttle departs at 4:00 PM.Fairfield: Be in the lobby by 3:55 PM. Shuttle departs at 4:05 PM.(Note: A later shuttle will be available for Fairfield due to later check-in time.) Shuttle Run 2:Hampton: Be in the lobby by 4:20 PM. Shuttle departs at 4:30 PM.Fairfield: Be in the lobby by 4:25 PM. Shuttle departs at 4:35 PM. End of the Night Shuttle:There will be shuttle options at 10:00 PM, 11:00 PM, 12:00 AM, and 12:30 AM to get you back to your hotel.Please feel free to catch a shuttle at your convenience!
