With the small size of the wedding, we are not reserving a block of rooms but suggestions are located on the Accommodations page. If you need additional ideas or help, please just reach out and ask!
Where should we park?
Parking is limited.
We suggest guests park for the ceremony at the rear of the parking lot at Old Yarmouth Inn (they have granted permission). Following the ceremony, drive west along 6A a short distance. Parking can be found at the Cape Cod Cooperative Bank at 121 Route 6A for the reception. The Urologist's parking lot (next to the bank) may also be open. Alternatively, you can park along Gingerbread Lane. Both are a short distance past the reception site -- Jay and Sara's house.
Carpooling is suggested, if possible.
Please do not park in our driveway as that will get in the way of the reception.
What is the suggested attire?
The wedding will be a dressy casual garden party. Lightweight fabrics are encouraged, as it can be hot in August. Flats or block/wedge heels are advised due to the loose rocks in the driveway and grass. Guests are asked not to wear shorts or flip flops.
Are you registering for gifts?
No, we are not creating a gift registry. While we would gratefully accept gifts, we do not expect them.
Should you wish to give a gift, we treasure our experiences and memories from our life together thus far and would welcome gift cards (or equivalent) supporting Cape Cod or Martha's Vineyard establishments, activities, or events. We are headed to Edgartown for our mini Honeymoon (see below).
Some ideas include:
1. Hyannis Country Garden to help us get plants and landscaping materials for our home.
2. Favorite dining places such as Pelham House, The Ocean House, or Harvest Wine Gallery and Bar
3. Excursions such as whale watching out of Barnstable Harbor or the lunch/dinner train.
Alternatively, you could make a donation to a charity supporting a cause that is important to us in our honor. Suggestions include:
Lewy Body Dementia Association or
Cotuit Center for the Arts
Are you going on a honeymoon?
Yes! We will be heading back to Edgartown where we got engaged for a "Mini-Moon" later in the summer. We are planning a longer trip as a getaway in 2025.
What's a Karaoke After Party?
Guests are invited to lend their voices at an open mic karaoke party under the tent. Space restrictions will keep us outside. You are encouraged to start rehearsing in the car or shower (not ours). You can perform solo or with a group. We have a karaoke app that is pretty sophisticated. We can adjust tempo, key, and degree of background vocals. So pick a song or two and let us know what you might want to sing and we'll add it to the set list!
