We cannot wait to celebrate our love with the people we love!!!
We cannot wait to celebrate our love with the people we love!!!
If you know our story in its entirety, then you know it’s truly one only our sweet Lord and Savior Himself could’ve written. It’s a story of grace, trust, resilience, and patience that God penned every detail of so intricately. It’s the most beautiful story of learning what it means to love and to be loved, and I am so thankful it’s a story we now get to share with you: the people we love most. The story of how time told.
When Morgan and I met in Chattanooga, TN on May 30, 2022, I don’t think either of us could have wrapped our heads around what the Lord had in store for us. We were asked that day how long we’d been together and I couldn’t help but laugh out loud as I told this sweet lady and her kind husband that we had, in fact, met just that day. The date was sweet and fun (and may or may not have lasted 10.5 hours), but it came to an end and Morgan headed back to Nashville. I didn’t see him again for a few months, but, as you could ask my friends, I somehow already knew he was someone special.
As October rolled around, things began to slowly but surely change between us, and, so, “time will tell” was born. It became like a sweet promise to each other that said so much in three small words despite all of the unknowns. We had no idea what the future held or how all of the upcoming life changes would play out, but, one things was for sure, only the timing of God’s plan would tell.
Despite moving 251 miles apart in December 2022 (with me living in Knoxville, TN for one of my PT school clinicals and Morgan moving to our future home in Concord, GA), we just kept growing closer and closer during our weekend visits. And then, on March 5, 2023, in the glow of the Buffalo’s neon lights (if you know you know), Morgan Ford asked me to be his girlfriend and I sure as heck said “yes”!!!!! And then… I left him to go to Italy for 2 months…
We made the most of the distance and the time difference and soon we were back together! I graduated PT school and moved back to Chattanooga and started my new job as Morgan started his new job. Long distance isn’t easy, but there’s something beautiful about God using our growth as individuals in our time apart to strengthen our growth together when we reunite. That strong, ever-growing bond led us to February 16, 2024 - aka the best day EVER when Morgan asked me to marry him in front my loved ones. And, of course, I said “yes”!!!!!!!!
I can’t wait to spend forever with my best friend (and our two dogs, one cat, and nine chickens)!!!! And we can’t wait to celebrate all that time told with you all come November 10!!!! Thank you to everyone who has loved us so well and pointed us to Jesus throughout this journey!!! We can’t wait to become Mr. and Mrs. Ford, and then dance the night away, with each and every one of you!!!!
