Our Wedding

Sara and Kyle met in August 2021 on their college swim team. When they first met, they did not really talk to each other much, but over the course of a few weeks, Kyle would throw subtle compliments her way. He would tease her about her reusable snack bags (which she eventually threw away because of it), compliment her hair (although it did not change at all), and initiate conversations by sending her pictures of those delicious Walmart cookies with the thick frosting (you know the ones!).Sara eventually invited him over to her dorm room and they stayed up all night talking about their lives, sharing even the tiniest details with each other. Although they had practice at 6am the next day, they could not walk to the pool without having their first kiss.Three days later, Kyle told Sara he loved her, and they were quickly added to the long list of team couples.

Love at first sight... kind of!

Sara and Kyle were both in the H-E-B School of Business at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, TX. He was a marketing major, and she was a finance major.He was two years ahead of her, so of course she begged him to share all his notes from previous classes, especially Capstone!Eventually, their presence as a couple grew among their professors and classmates, and it was a strange sight when they walked around campus without the other.

In May 2024, Kyle graduated with his MBA while Sara graduated with a BBA. Shortly thereafter, they moved back to Houston and began their careers at Enterprise Mobility and Fidelity Investments, respectively.They quickly moved out of Sara's parents house with smoke on their heels, and are now living happily in the Memorial area. Who said growing up and getting old was lame?!

No turning back!

Kyle proposed to Sara on February 1, 2025 at Cross Mountain in Fredericksburg, Texas. He took her on a private, serene nature walk to pop the question. Of course, she cried. To celebrate the moment, they had a stranger take their photo with the cross, then grabbed an iced coffee on the way home.

Please note that we will have a silent ceremony, meaning we ask you to silence or turn off your phone as to not disturb the ceremony. Photography or videography from any personal device is not permitted. We have hired professionals to ensure our day is captured perfectly.

Out of respect for our church, we will not be serving alcoholic beverages. However, we will still offer water, coffee, and soft drinks to enjoy. Guests who would like to continue the celebration following the reception may join us at our hotel, Hyatt Regency Baytown.

We will also not have an open dance floor at the end of the night to respect church guidelines. Light dancing will be reserved for the couple’s dance and parent dances.

If you are traveling from out of town (i.e. Dallas, San Antonio, Florida, or California), and do not have family or friends nearby that youd wish to stay with, we got you covered! We have reserved a room for your stay. Please reach out to us for questions.
