Sara and Seth first met in the spring of 2021, when one of Seth’s neighbors recommended him as the responsible and respectful choice to escort Sara to her Legacy League Ball. The Legacy League is an organization that gives high school girls the opportunity to volunteer and serve in their community.

They didn’t want the ball to be their first real interaction, so they met beforehand at Chill, The Milkshake Bar. Over milkshakes, they talked, played board games, and attempted an oversized Connect Four set that kept malfunctioning as the pieces fell straight through. Sara just laughed every time, and Seth remembers realizing in that moment that she wasn’t just fun to be around… she was something special.

Sara had her own first impressions too. Anyone who knows her knows she has always had a soft spot for redheads, so Seth definitely caught her eye right away. But what stood out even more was how good of a listener he was and how genuinely he treated her from the very beginning. The red hair earned bonus points, but his kindness sealed the deal.

After the ball, they kept in touch and their friendship grew quickly. Even while Sara was away for part of the summer, the conversations never stopped, and it didn’t take long for both of them to realize something more was forming.

Their first official date was on July 3, 2021 and from that day forward their relationship grew through intentional time together. Over the years they worked side-by-side at YMCA summer camp, read books, watched movies, cooked meals, played D&D and online games, went skiing, attended college and church, visited Renaissance Faires, and shared countless memories with friends and family.

What started with a milkshake, a glitchy Connect Four game, and a redhead who caught her attention has become a love story full of joy, laughter, and deep appreciation for one another.

Now, Sara and Seth are overjoyed to celebrate the next chapter of their story and to share their wedding day with all those who have been part of their journey together.
