Our Wedding

When Brandon met Sara, he knew he needed to see her again (and again, and again, and again).&nbsp; The couple matched on a dating app while Brandon was living in Connecticut and visiting New York City to film. They decided to meet up for drinks at Bonus Room in Ridgewood, Queens—a bar that was walking distance from Sara’s apartment, just in case she had to fake an “emergency” and leave early. Sara will never forget the look on Brandon’s face when he saw her cross the street toward him, nor how he immediately straightened up to brush himself off, eyes widening. Once she ordered a Miller High Life at the bar, he knew that this could be his dream girl. When Brandon eventually walked her home to say goodnight, they discovered that his friend, a pro BMX rider, had lived in her same apartment. At that moment, they had a feeling their meeting was fate. From the second they met, they were drawn to one another despite living in separate states. Brandon even asked Sara her thoughts on marriage out of the blue one day during a date to the beach. Sara laughed at the time, but would like to think that even then he was imagining their life together. After a few months of going on dates when he’d visit NYC, Sara eventually informed Brandon that she was ready to have him be her boyfriend now. He obliged.&nbsp; His next visit to the city ended with him informing her that he had found an apartment and was moving to Brooklyn so that they could give their relationship a real shot. Three years later, they know that they’ve each found their perfect match. It’s hard to find words that fully encompass how they feel about one another, but they have been lucky enough to find a love that feels up there with the great love stories.&nbsp; They are excited to tie the knot and be stuck with each other FOREVER.

Getting Around Paris

At the airport, there are taxi stands available. We've heard that Uber to and from the airport is much more economical, especially if there's traffic. To get around Paris, the subway is incredibly easy to navigate, especially in a group. You can purchase tickets at the station. Uber is a great option to get around Paris as well or you can hail a taxi (most taxis prefer cash but they typically have a card reader). Our favorite way to get around Paris is walking to enjoy the views!

Accommodations

We will not be doing a hotel block, as there are so many wonderful places to stay in Paris. The wedding will take place in Montmartre, if you're looking to stay close by. Airbnb or VRBO are great options if a hotel isn't right for you! <a href="https://www.orsohotels.com/hotel-rochechouart" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Hôtel Rochechouart</a> is a great hotel option if you're looking to stay in Montmartre. It's a 15 minute walk to the wedding venue or 9 minute drive.

There's so much to do in the city of love...

1. For the best Jambon-beurre baguette sandwich ever, check out <a href="https://lepetitvendome.fr/en" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Le Petit Vendome</a>. 2. Our personal favorite restaurant in the city is <a href="https://www.mieux-restaurant.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Restaurant Mieux</a> in Montmartre. Just a warning, they spoke limited english, but the food was divine. You'll need a reservation. 3. For unforgettable beauty and home gifts, Officine Buly is not to be missed. They have multiple locations in Paris, so be sure to check out which are closest to you. Highly recommend the scented matches in their scent, Retour D' Egypt. 4. The Louvre and Centre Pompidou are great museums in Paris. The Centre Pompidou is Sara's personal favorite because of their contemporary art collection. 5. If you're looking for something spooky to do, check out <a href="https://www.catacombes.paris.fr/en" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Paris' catacombs</a>. 6. The best french macarons in the city are <a href="https://www.pierreherme.com/en/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Pierre Herme</a>...trust us! If you're feeling adventurous, we recommend trying escargots. They're delicious, especially with a nice Kir Royal cocktail. 8. Check out some abandoned train tracks that have been turned into a park in Paris at Le Petite Ceinture. 9. The Tuileries Garden and Luxembourg Gardens are beautiful parks to stroll through (they're on opposite sides of the river). We also recommend walking along the Seine for a lovely experience! Need essentials? If you're needing a market or pharmacy goods, Monoprix is a big chain in Paris and should have what you're looking for. There are plenty of locations, so be sure to check Google Maps for which is nearest. Mono'P is a smaller version of the store with a more limited selection. Local pharmacies are great too!
