September 2017, Sara and her girlfriend, Kerby, decided to take a mini vacation up to Erie to hang out by the beach and go to the bars. Friday night, Cole and his friends were at the bar after a long work week. We really connected despite being in different cities, and decided to keep in touch.

A month later Cole was doing his apprenticeship in the carpenters union, which included traveling to the training center located in Pittsburgh a few times a year. We officially had our first date at Smokey Bones restaurant. We bonded and built a strong relationship as we renovated my condo, and we started dating mid November.

We had been in a long distance relationship for 3 years, until Cole moved to Pittsburgh in 2021. We currently live in Plum, PA, where we are renovating our first home together. This past September, Cole, his brother, and his friend helped us build our dream deck, where a month later Cole would propose in front of my family!
