Steven became my coworker at Nutrien Ag Solutions in July of 2022. To be completely honest, I did not know his name for about 6 months after he had started working there. I finally found out what his name was from some other coworkers of mine, but I didn't believe his name was Steve at first. Steven and I worked in different departments at work. He did more shop work and custom application with fertilizer. I did a lot of crop scouting and soil sampling. Hardly did we ever cross paths, until spring rolled around. In the spring I did lots of deliveries and along with that, I got LOTS of flat tires. I made a lot of trips out to the shop to get tires patched. We started small conversation and soon enough he got me to help him throw hay bales on his farm. Shortly after we went on our first date at New Beginnings (a small restaurant) in Lowell, MI.

We continued hanging out and getting to know each other. We got to know each others crazy families and he started to develop a little bond with Sadie (my daughter). At first I didnt tell Steve about Sadie, thinking that would scare him away. I thought he didn't know about her so I gave it a little time so I could get to know him a little better and find out if he was safe to be around her haha. When I brought her up he already knew about her and was excited to meet her! Steven definitely had my heart after I saw how good he was with Sadie and treated her like she was his.

On October 5, 2024, we attended the Heffron fall festival. It was a good day, shot an apple cannon and went on a hay ride and spent quality time with family. When family members were starting to clear out, he started getting a little antsy because he wanted to get pictures of the three of us ( Steve Sadie and I). I was a little hesitant because I wasn't feeling the best and Sadie had a long day, the two of us just wanted to be home. With some convincing we went to snap a few pictures as the sun was setting. Steve asked me to marry him and I said "of course I will marry you Steven". To this day Sadie still thinks she is getting married to me because she wants to be with me forever, she doesn't quite understand that Steve and I are the ones getting married and she will still be with the both of us. She did say we have her permission to get married though! Don't ask, it's confusing.
