Leighton and I met on December 8th 2021, with our first date being at Lost Forty Brewery in North Little Rock. I can't speak for him, but I was extremely nervous since this was the first date I had been on in a very long time. The second we saw each other all my nerves went away and I had never felt more comfortable with someone in my whole life. He once told me, a big reason why he loves me so much is because he doesn't feel pressured to entertain me. Some of our happiest times are sitting on the couch with the pups, watching a movie or football.

He officially asked me to be his girlfriend on New Years Eve. I of course, said yes and was already falling for him.

We moved in together after 7 months of dating, it took some getting use to. But without a doubt I can say we laughed at each other more than we did bicker.

After a year and a few months of dating, we decided to move to Frisco, Texas with our two dogs, Stevie & Lucky. We both agree that was a great step in our relationship and we've loved getting to explore our new home and the state of Texas.

Leighton proposed on December 23rd, 2023. He wrote me a love letter, and asked if I would be interested in having a new last name. I said "well of course", and just stared at him. He told me I needed to ask Lucky for permission (our lab), and the ring was tied to his Christmas tuxedo bandana.

Leighton and I are so excited to start this new season of our lives together. And we want to thank everyone for all the well wishes and the outpouring love our family and friends have shown!
