We met online and waited a year before we actually reconnected and met up in person. We went to a movie, went to McDonald’s, then drove around the lake because Sam didn’t want the date to end, little did he know I didn’t want it to end either. We went on a few more dates before he made me his girlfriend and we’ve been inseparable since. We knew we were soulmates very early on and we are very excited to start the next chapter of our lives together.

He was very sweet and honored my wishes to get my parents blessing, but not only did he get their blessing he asked my grandparents and got their blessing as well.

He asked me to be his wife 1 year, 1 month, and 11 days after asking me to be his girlfriend.

We planned to go to my parents house to give my dad his Father’s Day gift and once we arrived Sam took lead of the conversation talking to my parents Saying how happy we were to be joining them with an opportunity to grow our business and then looked at me and said, “there is only one problem. I don’t want to call you girlfriend anymore, I want to call you my wife. Sara Marie Dornelas will you marry me?” I cried. I laughed and said ,”are you serious?” He said yes and of course I did too.
