If you're booking a flight, our largest airport is in Bozeman, which is about an hour from Butte. There is a smaller airport in Butte, which is convenient but usually more expensive to fly through. Helena also has an airport, which is small but has reasonable prices if flying from the west coast. Contact Sara if you have questions about flights!

Big Butte Open Space Recreation Area

3.5 mile loop along the East Ridge with a nice vantage point. Trailhead is on the east side on the Continental Exit, easy to get to.

Maud S Canyon Loop Trailhead

Trail network managed by USFS and Butte-Silver Bow that includes an 18-hole disc golf course.

Thompson Park

A guided tour through the Lewis and Clark Caverns, about an hour from Butte. Book online beforehand to make sure you get a spot.
