High Altitude

Vail is more than 8,000ft. above sea level and some may struggle with altitude sickness. Altitude sickness can hit anyone regardless of physical condition or age. The most common symptoms include: headache, dizziness and nausea, fatigue, shortness of breath, loss of appetite, disturbed sleep. Staying hydrated is essential! We also recommend enjoying some healthy sugars and carbohydrates during the first day or two of your stay. We promise this will help! If you can, consider arriving early to give yourself time to adjust.&nbsp;You know we love a good party and a drink or five but please remember, alcohol is more potent at high altitudes - we recommend mixing in a water in between drinks. One drink here = two drinks there!&nbsp;&nbsp;

Arriving by Air

You can fly into Denver International Airport (DIA) or Eagle County Regional Airport (EGE), and we’ve included information about both below. If you’re planning on renting a car, we recommend flying into DIA because the drive to Vail is beautiful. If you’re not renting a car, you can still fly into Denver and catch a ride with Epic Mountain Express or another ground transportation provider (see Ground Transportation To/From Airport). <a href="www.flydenver.com" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Denver International Airport (DIA):&nbsp;</a>Vail is located approximately 100 miles west from Denver and about 2-hours from DIA. Ground Transportation To/From DIA

Epic Mountain Express (EME) provides transportation directly to your hotel in Vail from the Denver International Airport. EME is a very professional and reliable shuttle service and a great option for those who do not need a car while visiting Colorado. Other transport options once you are in Vail:

Uber/Lyft&nbsp;is not a common option in Vail yet. Private cars or Rental cars are the most prevalent options. Are kids allowed at the events?

Vail is a fabulous adventure destination for a family; it makes for the perfect vacation! While we welcome kids to enjoy Colorado and Vail, we do ask that our wedding be a child free event!&nbsp;If you need a sitter, below are a few great options.&nbsp; There are several babysitting services that come highly recommended. How can we get to the wedding?

If you're staying in or near Vail Village, please meet at The Sebastian for shuttle pickup on the wedding day by 3:00 to load for a 3:15 departure. Please park in the Main Vail parking structure and walk to the Sebastian. If you'd prefer to drive, you'll need to park at St Clair of Assisi Parish Church (31622 US-6, Edwards, CO 81632), where a shuttle will take you to the ranch. Please arrive there be 3:45pm. Please email jennifer@geminieventplanning.com if you are planning to do this so we know there are guests at the parking lot. Please note that parking is not available at the ranch, but shuttles will be running throughout the event. They can take you back to your car at the church or return you to Vail Village at any time.
