Michael and Sara met the modern way: by tapping the heart on Hinge (oh la la!) in 2021. On their first date, Michael was late because he was trying to find free parking in Boston Commons on a beautiful Sunday morning. Michael knew he was going to have to splurge on the $10 parking when Sara texted him asking if he needed to reschedule (30 minutes had gone by!). But, once the two got coffee and found a bench in the Commons, the conversation started flowing and the rest was history!

A few of Michael and Sara's favorite memories from their time together: hiking Mount Monadnock in the pouring rain, Michael baking Knishes for the very first time, Sara celebrating her very first Christmas, moving in to their first apartment together, and all of the weekend trips and weekday laughs in between.

Michael and Sara's proposal was memorable. Michael's parents were coming to visit and Sara and Michael thought it would be fun to have his parents meet Sara's extended family. As the weeks got closer, Sara suggested to Mike, "Why don't we have my mom do a funny game like she does for the holidays so that your parents can experience it?" Unbeknownst to Sara, Michael already had this idea in his head! During the trivia game that evening, Sara's mom asked the final question, "People are usually thankful for their loved ones on Thanksgiving. How do people show their love for one another?" Sara turned around and Michael got down on his knee, with a ring in hand! Sara, overwhelmed with anxious joy, literally took the ring out of his hand and put it on her finger (on her right hand!). The ring did make it over to the left finger eventually!
