The Emily Hotel is in the heart of the West Loop, one of the best neighborhoods in Chicago for food and shopping. A few of Sara and Charlie's favorite spots in Fulton Market are below.
Sawada Coffee is one of the West Loop favorites for any coffee lover. They serve coffee and donuts.

The Farmers Market starts at 7 AM Saturday Morning and is a 15 minute walk from The Emily Hotel. Enjoy a few of the local vendors including The Baked Cheese Haus's famous Raclette., Bushel and Peck's Jam and Hot Sauce (Sara and Charlie love the Cherry Bomb!), or grab a pastry and a bagel from pHlour Chicago.

A casual, walk up and order restaurant full of smoked meats, good beer and indoor picnic tables. This restaurant is a go-to for Sara and Charlie when they want a quick & filling bite.

Voted one of the best burgers in America, Sara and Charlie frequent this shop to get a smash-style burger and delicious shoe-string french fries. This is a first come, first serve restaurant, but worth the wait or a sit at the bar.

New to Chicago, the Guinness Brewery is a two-block walk from The Emily Hotel and one of only two locations in America. We recommend making a reservation, but if you go at off-hours you shouldn't have a problem grabbing a seat and a freshly brewed Guinness!

Below are a some of our recommended activities and locations if you have a little more time to spend in Chicago.
The Wendella Boat Architecture Tour is a 60-90 minute boat ride through the Chicago River where you learn about the history and architecture of Chicago. Charlie and Sara have both done the tour a few times, and each one is unique and enjoyable, rain or shine!

Drive (or Uber) to the East side of Chicago and you'll hit Lake Michigan. To get the real Chicago Experience quickly, take a walk through Millennium Park where you will see the Bean, Maggie Daly Park, and beautiful architecture overlooking the Lake. Take a pit stop and grab a snack at one of the food trucks - we recommend trying a Chicago Dog over here!

A micro-brewery close to where Sara and Charlie live, this place is the owner of the "Apex Predator" brew that is locally-famous in Chicago. Stop by and enjoy the back patio, overlooking the river. You can order food to this bar, a major plus! (If you do, Charlie and Sara recommend Pat's Pizza!)
