“I had little to no expectations of what I’d find when I joined Tinder, so to be sitting here today and about to marry the love of my life, it’s kind of amazing. While I don’t remember a lot from our first conversations, I do remember our conversations were easy and never-ending. After a couple weeks of texting, we finally got together for our first date the day she had settled on her first house. We spent the night playing mini golf, getting dinner, and getting necessities for her new place at Walmart. I’m sure not many people go to Walmart as part of their first date, but neither of us wanted the night to end.
Over the next couple months I quickly realized I had found the love of my life. I never imagined I’d find someone so selfless, loving, and compassionate. Whether we were going to Penguins games, Penn State games, the DC Zoo, I knew I found the person I’d want to spend the rest of my life with.
In the years since we bought our first house together, got our not so tiny puppy (Roscoe), and have done countless home renovations together (and by together I mean she designs it, asks for my opinions, tells me they are wrong, and her and her dad do it). I am so lucky to have spent the last 6+ years of my life with Sara and to have everyone join us to celebrate the happiest day of our lives.”
“After being stood up, I was about to delete dating apps altogether. Then, I found my prince in shining armor. Tim and I met after we both “swiped right” on Tinder. My friends had known him as “Ginger Tinder Tim”. We had talked for about a month to get to know each other a little more before we met in person. At first, I thought he was trying to stand me up too, but after chatting for a few weeks, I found myself smiling and laughing much more than I ever had and knew this was something special. I had just bought a small duplex for myself and was getting settled in there at the time. Then, to my surprise, we finally scheduled our first date! I thought it was too good to be true! Tim, a 6ft man, then came to pick me up in his tiny little white Chevy Sonic roller-skate and we went to dinner at The Norland Pub in Chambersburg. Wearing a dress, I then crushed him in mini-golf (it’s been the only time I’ve won to this day). We ended the night by stopping at Walmart and shopping for some supplies I needed for my new home- romantic right?? I knew then that I had found the one I wanted to spend forever with. Since then, the rest is history. We have been pretty much inseparable. He has truly been a blessing in my life and has stood by my side through thick and thin, no matter what. He has been unwavering in his support through my career, life’s challenges and even life’s wins. He is my best friend, my adventure partner, my hockey buddy, my love, and my safe space.
In June 2020, we bought our first house together and the end of that year, we added our sweet dog Roscoe to the family. We are excited to start this next chapter of our lives and look forward to celebrating our love with everyone!”
