As Twickenham does not allow personal transport to and from the venue for the ceremony and reception we will provide shuttles from centralized locations. The first pick-up location will be adjacent to the new West Jefferson Hotel at 5 W Main Street, West Jefferson and the other will be Morchella Provisions, 247 Mount Jefferson, State Park Road Suite 8, West Jefferson, NC. You should have received an email from our Wedding Planner to coordinate your shuttle pick-up. We are requesting Formal Attire. The ceremony will be held outside, as weather permits, but the reception will be indoors and kept cozy. Please keep in mind highs will likely be in the mid 50s and lows may drop into the 30s in the evening.

Located in Ashe and Alleghany counties 35 miles northeast of Boone, New River State Park covers seven accesses along this National Wild and Scenic River that flows north through three states. All accesses allow for launching kayaks and inner tubes to paddle or float along the shallow, gentle river. Paddle-in only campgrounds provide a remote experience. The hellbender — the largest salamander in the U.S. — and 14 species of rare and threatened plant species inhabit the New River valley.

RiverGirl Fishing Co.

Located in Ashe County 25 miles northeast of Boone, Mount Jefferson State Natural Area surrounds a natural landmark that offers vistas as far as Tennessee from its overlooks and Luther Rock. The mountain, first spotted from the Blue Ridge Parkway, rises abruptly from the surrounding landscape. Over 700 plants call the park home, including the Dutchman's pipevine, which is visited by the beautiful swallowtail butterfly and its distinct black-and-orange-spiked caterpillar.
