Who knew that a simple "Happy Birthday" on July 20, 2020 would lead to a lifetime of craziness. Sara randomly said "Happy Birthday" to Adam on his 27th birthday which led to talking for a couple weeks. After a couple weeks went by, Adam invited Sara over to his house for a nice cooked meal. After the meal was over, we made a trip over to "meet" his family out on the boat. Arik greeted us kindly by stating "Ahoy mateys!" To finish the first date, we came back to the big town of Cylinder and watched a movie. Little to Sara's knowledge, Arik, Holly, and Adam made plans for the very next night to go for supper and mini golf.

On August 17th, Adam asked Sara to be his girlfriend (which just happened to be the day before leaving on a side by side trip). Obviously, Sara said yes for the first time and patiently waited 2 and a half years to say the next yes.

On January 22, 2023, Adam planned a trip with Arik and Holly to Mankato where a TV was bought for the firestation. Upon arrival at the firestation, little to Sara's knowledge Zach and Logan were upstairs hiding to await the special question. Adam had to "go check a truck" and asked Sara to come check it too. Adam got down on one knee and popped the question. Sara said "Yes!" (which happened to be two days before he left on a snowmobile trip).

We cannot wait to celebrate with all of you on June 29, 2024.
