Austin and Sara met in 2020 during COVID (oops). It was love at first swipe... just kidding. They met at Daniels Park after matching on Tinder, and neither were looking for a relationship. After plenty of facetime calls, outdoor lunch dates, and deep conversations, Sara and Austin fell in love!

However, Sara went off to work at Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp that summer, and Austin began basic training for the Marine Corps in San Diego. Writing letters almost every day to each other in boot camp, they tried their best to support and love each other from afar.

In the fall, Sara moved back to Point Loma Nazarene University and started school again on campus. In January, Austin finally finished his training and learned he would be stationed in San Diego. After 7 months apart, Austin and Sara were reunited!

Over the next three years, Sara and Austin grew together, enjoying the weekends spent at the beach, eating good food, having movie marathons, and living it up in San Diego.

At the end of April 2023, after plenty of begging and annoyance from Sara, Austin proposed on Coronado Island! Woohoo!!

Sara and Austin are very excited to move in together and start their new chapter in Colorado. They can't wait to be married and get a dog!
