<p>We met the very first week of sophomore year at Freed-Hardeman University at a welcome event. Reese had just transferred to FHU after recently finishing military training and a semester of community college. Going into this school year, we both decided we wanted to focus on school and making friends. However, that did not last long because Sara took an immediate interest in Reese and used the FHU social club recruitment events as an excuse to talk to and hang out with him. Sara invited him to the Phi Kappa Alpha mud fight event, and she made sure to throw mud at Reese. From that moment on, we instantly clicked and spent most of our time together. One month later we officially started dating on October 7, 2023. Since then, we have shared many adventures together and made so many great memories! On May 11, 2025, what was supposed to be "feeding a professor's farm animals" before heading to our end-of-the-semester date, ended up being the most perfect surprise proposal! God knew exactly what He was doing with our stories and we are forever grateful for the blessing of our relationship!</p>
