Our Wedding

Sara and Mike first met in Washington D.C.&nbsp;on Halloween in 2014 when they were out with mutual friends.&nbsp; Mike attempted to show his sarcastic side while asking about Sara's&nbsp;costume,&nbsp;but she&nbsp;took offense to his comments.&nbsp; This was not how Mike envisioned their first conversation would&nbsp;go.&nbsp; Mike was persistent&nbsp; about&nbsp;seeing Sara&nbsp;again.&nbsp; He gathered intel on when the next time she&nbsp;would be out with their friends so he could get another&nbsp;chance to show her&nbsp;who he really was.&nbsp; A few months later, on another night out on the town&nbsp;he got his&nbsp;opportunity.&nbsp;&nbsp;Mike asked Sara to dance and scored her phone number.&nbsp; They went out on their first date the next week and were soon inseparable.&nbsp;&nbsp;

 

Three and a half years later, Mike and&nbsp;Sara went on a romantic&nbsp;dinner cruise around the Potomac River in Washington&nbsp;D.C.&nbsp; Mike suggested that they should get a picture with the Washington Monument in the background.&nbsp; While taking said "picture" Mike dropped down on one knee and asked Sara to marry him.&nbsp; She happily said, "Yes," and after celebrating together&nbsp;during the rest of the cruise, a group&nbsp;of their friends were waiting on the dock&nbsp;to share this happy moment with them.

 

Mike and Sara are excited to share this&nbsp;next step in their journey&nbsp;on July 26th, 2019 by saying, "I do," and becoming Mr. and Mrs. Pluchino!

Mark and Matt are&nbsp;Mike's younger twin&nbsp;brothers, hence the Co-Best Men title.&nbsp;Fun fact:&nbsp; they share the same birthday, year included with Sara!&nbsp;&nbsp;Mike, Mark, and Matt were very close&nbsp;while&nbsp;growing up together, being only 2 years apart in age,&nbsp;and had&nbsp;a great time through the years.&nbsp; While they may have driven&nbsp;their mother insane at times with the constant bickering, horse play, and taunting to each other they all seemed to turn out alright.&nbsp; At least they like to think so.&nbsp; The three brothers enjoyed bonding over playing lacrosse together in high school and on the club team at Penn State, which is where the twins followed their older brother to pursue higher degrees of education.&nbsp; Mark and Matt may be taller than Mike but they often look up to Mike for advice on life and various endeavors.&nbsp; Mark currently resides in the greater Boston area&nbsp;and works at BAE as a Design Engineer.&nbsp; Matt recently moved to Seattle to work for Lockheed Martin as a Systems Engineer.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Amy is the oldest of the three Leinkram sisters and Carrie is the youngest, so being the middle child, Sara has always been&nbsp;close with both of them and feels very lucky to have grown up with two built-in best friends.&nbsp; Amy lives in Colorado Springs and enjoys going on hikes, playing board games, and parenting her two very cute pet guinea pigs, Moana and Brave.&nbsp; Carrie lives not too far from Sara in the Northern Virginia area and enjoys traveling, tacos, breweries&nbsp;and spending time with her family,&nbsp;friends and&nbsp;dog,&nbsp;Luna.&nbsp; Sara and Carrie had the honor of being co-maids of honor in Amy's wedding two years ago and are very excited for another Leinkram family wedding!

Andy is Mike's cousin who he considers his third brother largely due to the amount of time they had spent growing up together.&nbsp; Mike became a&nbsp;part of Andy, quite literally when he&nbsp;donated a kidney (whom they named CJ)&nbsp;to Andy last year.&nbsp; When they were younger, they liked&nbsp; to stir up some trouble&nbsp;on countless occasions, which of course drove their parents nuts.&nbsp; A conversation between them is a constant stream of inside jokes or sarcasm which always gets the laughs going.&nbsp; Andy is from the Boston area, from which he picked up his wicked accent and an engineer at GE Avionics.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Andy Lebeau

Alex, also unofficially known as the fourth Leinkram sister,&nbsp;and Sara met in college when they pledged the same sorority.&nbsp;&nbsp;One night after a sorority meeting Sara asked Alex if she wanted to go get frozen yogurt and they have been&nbsp;inseparable ever since!&nbsp; Alex gave Sara the nickname Sarzies, which stuck immediately, and Sara called Alex Schmalz which was not as big of a hit at first but has grown on Alex over time. :)&nbsp; After college Sara and Alex went on many trips together, including their birthright trip to Israel, and a trip to the San Francisco area where Alex later decided to move and is now a rock-star administrative buisness partner at Google.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Alex Katzen

Jeanna and Sara met at UVA when they were cast as "sigma 1" and "sigma 2" in their sorority skit.&nbsp; They decided to go shopping for matching outfits.&nbsp; Sara quickly learned that Jeanna was the sweetest person ever and shared her love of running, margaritas and pineapple pizza, so they soon&nbsp;became best friends!&nbsp; After college, Jeanna&nbsp;went to graduate school at Wake Forest to become a physician's assistant, but they made sure to keep visiting each other as often as they could.&nbsp;&nbsp;Jeanna even made a trip up to help Sara pick out her wedding dress!&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Jeanna now works as a PA&nbsp;in Durham, NC where she lives with her husband, Parker.&nbsp; Sara was so honored to be a bridesmaid in Jeanna's wedding 3&nbsp;years ago and can't wait to have Jeanna by her side on her special day!

Phil and Mike met in what they considered the&nbsp;hardest engineering class while studying Electrical Engineering at Penn State.&nbsp; They hung out a lot at school and eventually lived together for one year in Frederick,&nbsp;MD after college.&nbsp; Phil is one of the most fun loving, outgoing people you'll ever meet, and has an award winning smile to go along with it!&nbsp; One of Mike's favorite memories with Phil is when they took a trip to Spain, Ibiza, and Portugal together.&nbsp;&nbsp;Phil is from Long Island, NY but lives in San Francisco working for Cisco Meraki.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Marissa and Sara met in gym class when they were both extremely awkward middle schoolers.&nbsp; They became best friends in high school, where they happened to have all of their science classes together, which was lots of fun for them but not&nbsp;as great&nbsp;for their science grades.&nbsp;&nbsp;They spent most of their classes together passing notes that contained absolutely hilarious comics that they created, none of which they have anymore which is a real tragedy because they were definitely comedic gold.&nbsp; Sara and Marissa continued to channel their humor and creativity by being pen pals and writing each other letters when Marissa went to college in Colorado.&nbsp; They now live in the same city again and enjoy hanging out when Marissa, who is a fabulous&nbsp;events director, isn't busy traveling the world!

Marissa Rubenstein

Mike met Karl&nbsp;through their local friend group when&nbsp;he and Sara started dating four years ago.&nbsp; They have played on several flag football teams together and were workout buddies for years while Mike lived in Falls Church.&nbsp; They enjoy talking all things Redskins and Star Wars.&nbsp;&nbsp;Karl is a scientist who&nbsp;tests out drugs to make us all feel better so thank him in advance!

Steph, or, as most of her friends call her, Boots,&nbsp;was Sara's "big" in their sorority in college, which Sara was thrilled to learn because she could tell immediately upon meeting Boots that she was hilarious and a blast.&nbsp; She quickly became Sara's favorite person to go out to eat with because she, like Sara, is obsessed with food, especially bacon.&nbsp;&nbsp;Boots is Sara's most adventurous friend, and took the lead in planning activities for their friends in college, like sunrise hikes and Spring break trips to Jamaica.&nbsp; Boots is a public defender and, when she is not traveling in Asia,&nbsp; lives in the&nbsp;Northern Mariana Islands.&nbsp;&nbsp;Sara is so happy that Boots will be making the long trip back to the U.S. to be a part of Sara and Mike's wedding!

Dan is one of Mike's oldest friends.&nbsp; They became good friends while playing lacrosse back in high school (WEST!!).&nbsp; They later formed what was known as "The Tripod" with another Groomsman, Greg Polhemus.&nbsp; The Tripod hung out a lot through the high school days and continued through college at Penn State.&nbsp; Dan and Mike were roommates in college for two years and took in all Penn State had to offer during their time there.&nbsp; Dan is a manufacturing plant manager and a father of four...only two humans though.&nbsp;

Dan Harding

Colleen and Sara both transferred to UVA at the same time and met through their sorority.&nbsp; Colleen and Sara were "twins" meaning&nbsp;that they had the same big (Boots), which was fitting because by the time they found this out they were already joined at the hip.&nbsp; They bonded over lots of&nbsp;nights out on the town, nights in watching chick flicks, late night study dates and road trips to visit Colleen's now husband, Pat,&nbsp;in Pennsylvania.&nbsp;&nbsp;They&nbsp;became even closer when they both stayed in Charlottesville an extra year for grad school and were roommates.&nbsp;&nbsp;Colleen now lives in the San Francisco area&nbsp;with Pat and their adorable baby girl, Ella.&nbsp;&nbsp;She is currently working on her degree to become a school counselor, which is a gift to everyone she will work with because Colleen is one of the best listeners and advice-givers out there.&nbsp; Sara also got to have the honor of being one of Colleen's bridesmaids in her wedding in October of 2016,&nbsp; and is so excited to have Colleen by her side for her special day.

Josh came to know&nbsp;Mike through their local friend group.&nbsp; He also played on several flag football teams with him and Sara.&nbsp; Though he is a Pittsburgh fan,&nbsp;they enjoy talking and watching football together.&nbsp; He is also a huge Star Wars geek and likes to wear a storm trooper onezie to movie premieres.&nbsp;&nbsp;Josh's ability to talk nonstop about anything&nbsp;probably stems from his days giving orders to troops&nbsp;in the US Army as a Captain.&nbsp; Despite his loud voice and big personality, he is one of the easiest people to befriend.&nbsp; He currently works at Booze Allen under Team Avengers.&nbsp; You'll have to ask him what his super hero name is though.&nbsp; &nbsp;

Josh Doerr

Greg is Mike's oldest friend starting back to the first day of 6th grade.&nbsp; They met for having weird last names that begin with "P", but it was for the best.&nbsp;&nbsp;Greg and Mike have been best friends for just about 2 decades and still manage to keep it going strong whenever they get together.&nbsp; &nbsp;Greg is a founding member of the "Tripod" along with Dan Harding, another Groomsman.&nbsp; They have pretty much done it all together throughout the years and want the good times to keep on rolling.&nbsp; Greg might have the deepest most intimidating voice you'll ever hear, but don't worry, he might be the nicest guy attending the wedding!

Greg Polhemus

Kate and Sara met in their freshman year of real life when they were both first-year kindergarten teachers at the same school.&nbsp; They really became best friends that Spring, when on a road trip to their friend Hannah's beach house they discovered a shared love for interpretive dancing.&nbsp; Since then, they have enjoyed many happy hours, runs,&nbsp;weekend trips and a vacation to Mexico together.&nbsp; Kate was also one of the links that brought Sara and Mike together since Mike was friends with Kate's former roommate, Morgan (who is now one of Mike's groomsmen) and they all went out in the same group.&nbsp; Sara cannot imagine post-college life without Kate and can't wait to have her by her side on her wedding day!

Kate Rinaldi

Morgan is a vital link in Mike and Sara's relationship.&nbsp; He was a roommate with Kate Rinaldi, a bridesmaid and would tell Mike to join them for nights out on the town.&nbsp; Mike had told Morgan that he liked Sara and to let him know when Sara would be joining the crew for a night out so Mike could put on his best impression pants.&nbsp; Needless to say that all worked out so, THANK&nbsp;YOU&nbsp;MORGAN!&nbsp; Morgan is a former Navy Petty Officer 1st Class&nbsp;and a Minnesota native with a giant heart.&nbsp;&nbsp;
