We relocated to St. Pete from Washington D.C. almost three years ago, and have truly found home in the city and embraced all its charms. St. Pete is a vibrant, walkable town that's the perfect size -- there's always something fun going on!
Our recommendations vary depending on your interests, so don't hesitate to reach out to either of us for personalized suggestions. However, if you're seeking a general itinerary, here's a broad overview that we typically recommend to most visitors!
Central Avenue in St. Pete runs east to west, and it's lined with every kind of shop, restaurant, and business you can imagine. Some of our fave shops include:
Shoreline Sugars - THE cutest clothes!!! The entire store is color coordinated. Sara's fave boutique in St. Pete!
The Merchant - Fun little St. Pete store with a coffee shop in back! Check out their candles, roll-on scents, and sponge soaps.
ZaZoo'd - Tchotchkes and other fun goodies you never knew you needed can all be found here!

This might sound like a simple thing, not a "thing to do"...but if you know Sara at all you know she likes her special drinkies! Coffee/matcha/tea/all of the above! Here are Sara's favorite places to get coffee:

Paradeco: The most aesthetically pleasing coffee shop in St. Pete. Their smoothies are also amazing!

Bad Mother: Coffee shop tucked away in the most amazing remote work environment. Their pourovers and tea are immaculate. Sara's fave drink: rose cardamom latte OR horchata matcha
Caribou: The only Caribou coffee in Florida opened here in St. Pete! Sara likes to promo them on Instagram because they send her Caribou $$$. Sara's fave drink: oat nog crafted press
Flatbread & Butter: cute little coffee shop in a charming locale! Their pizzas are also amazing (love the vegan buffalo cauliflower).

Cafe Clementine: Mainly about the pastries, but their matchas are amazing too! Their pastries are probably the best we've had (cardamom cinnamon roll is DANK). You really can't go wrong with whatever's in the display case. Open Thurs-Sun - sit outside for views of the water!

Brunch/Lunch:
Sourdough Co: Counter-serve spot for sandwiches, pastries, and coffee. Our fave is the chicken bacon sourdough sandwich! (Their coffee cake is TDF)
Pin Wok & Bowl: Sit-down Asian lunch! Our favorite lunch special in the area! Sushi/Thai. Sara's favorite is the JB roll and Owen loves the drunken noodles with chicken.
Pistil House: Good vibes for a general porch-sit. They have weekly sandwich specials that change up!
Taylor Sam's: Sit-down American lunch/brunch - yummy breakfast sandwiches, tortas, really everything here is good!
The Hangar: Sit-down American lunch/brunch! Watch planes take off from your seat.
Naked Farmer: Bowl place right downtown! Grab a bowl here for a "healthy choice". Their mac n cheese is amazing.
Fresh Kitchen: Florida bowl place! Their creamy white ginger sauce is EVERYTHING.
Sweetgreen: Self-explanatory cool salad place. Get the harvest bowl or chicken pesto parm.
Cava: Amazing mediterranean bowl spot. Try the harissa honey chicken!
The Library: Sit-down, cool library-themed spot! American food.
Dinner:
Glass Noodle: Yummy Asian spot! They have Chinese/Thai/Japanese cuisine. 10/10 food.
Original Flavor 1889: Italian spot, our favorite pizza in the area! Sara's fave is the Summer pizza.
Bonu Taverna: Get a reservation, this place gets hoppin'. Their truffle pasta is bomb.
Mio's Grill & Cafe: Authentic mediterranean spot with amazing dishes!
Mullet's Fish Camp & Market: Our favorite spot for seafood in the area. Try their fish tacos, sandwiches, and wings!
Hawker's Asian Street Food: Casual Asian spot! Try the twice fried chicken wings, Yaki Udon, or Po Po Lo's Curry.
Bodega: Cuban sandwich spot with great sandwiches and smoothies! You really can't go wrong with any of their sandwiches. Bonus: 7-8pm every day is their happy hour for the speakeasy in the back called Bar Chica!!!
Engine no 9: Our favorite burger spot in St. Pete! Burgers are unreal.

Intermezzo/Bar Mezzo: Coffee shop by day, cocktails by night. Sara and Owen's fave cocktail of St. Pete is the Sun, Smoke and Wind! Check out "Miracle at Mezzo" at Bar Mezzo, a Christmas bar with fun cocktails!
Bar Chica: A hidden speakeasy in the back of Bodega! Go to their Early bird happy hour, every day from 7-8pm.
Ship's Hold: Right next to the Galley, this place is a hidden gem! Try their cocktail of the month.
Mandarin Hide: Fancy shmancy cocktails with a gorgeous inside!
Breweries:
3 Daughters: Huge, expansive brewery with live music, games, a huge outdoor area, and some of our favorite beers! Try the beach blonde ale.
Green Bench: Homey brewery - one of our faves. Try the bench life, Owen's favorite beer. Check out Webb's City Cellar next door for more of a cider vibe.
Grand Central Brewhouse: Fun, chill rooftop with tons of outdoor seating. Their food is really good too!

If you're looking to go out/dance/party hard, check out what we lovingly call "Bar Alley" in St. Pete -- it's the block starting with Where's Jubes on Central (The Detroit 501, Five Bucks Drinkery, Saigon Blonde, Goodnight John Boy, One Night Stand, Welcome to the Farm, Tequila Daisy are some of the faves)
The Pier stretches out into the sparkling waters of Tampa Bay, offering breathtaking views. Highly recommend going to the end up the pier and checking out the views from Pier Teaki (take the steps or elevator all the way to the top). Tip: Grab a free ride on the trolley that runs the length of the pier! Bonus tip: The most beautiful place to see the sunrise over the water is in front of Doc Ford's.
The Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida, is a cultural gem dedicated to the life and works of the renowned Spanish surrealist artist, Salvador Dali. This museum houses the largest collection of Dali's artwork outside of Spain. From his iconic melting clocks to thought-provoking masterpieces, the museum offers a mesmerizing journey through Dali's artistic evolution. The Dali Museum is a must-visit destination for art enthusiasts and curious minds alike. Tip: Go on Thursday after 5pm for 50% off admission!
Sunken Gardens in St. Petersburg, Florida, is a lush tropical oasis nestled in the heart of the city. It's a historic botanical paradise dating back over a century. It also boasts beautiful flamingos and rare birds! Use Groupon for half off.
If you're interested in history, the Jungle Prada tour is an absolute must. David does an amazing job of going into detail on the native lands and surrounding area. Bonus: snap a pic of the wild peacocks that roam the land!
If you've never paddled before, it's MUCH easier than you think! Walk over to the St. Pete Pier and rent a paddleboard from Bada Bing Water Sports. So much fun!
Take a stroll down scenic Coffee Pot Boulevard! This is the best place to see manatees in St. Pete. See if you can spot where Owen proposed (hint: famous pink trumpet tree that only blooms once a year may not be in bloom when you're in town...)
St. Pete, Florida, boasts a stunning array of beaches! We typically go to Treasure Island, which is a 10-15 min drive from downtown. If you're looking for the most tranquil, scenic, and untouched beach, Fort De Soto Park is it. Pass-a-Grille Beach is a very charming and historic walkable beach town that has THE best shells (check out the Gulf Beaches Historical Museum while you're there). If you're looking for a lively beach with more of a party atmosphere, St. Pete Beach is the way to go -- for dancing in the sand, check out Postcard Inn! St. Pete Beach pro tip: go on a Sunday morning for the Sunday Morning Market.
Our favorite walk to do in St. Pete! Start at The Vinoy Hotel (you can grab a Lottie latte to kickstart your day) and walk along the water. Miles and miles of coastline, greenery, and beautiful parks. Come at sunrise or sunset to see dolphins!
Meander on down to the Saturday morning market for some goodies! TLC Smelly Goods has the best incense, and you can never go wrong drinking out of a coconut!
One of the coolest experiences in St. Pete! We've been twice and want to keep going back. If you're even slightly into magic, book this magic show - you won't regret it!
