Sara and Nicholas met at a time when the world was thrown into uncertainty. It was May 2020, and the concept of a first date was suddenly a problem. Where do we meet? What do we do? How do we avoid getting sick? What began as a simple coffee date and a walk around town turned into a 9-mile escapade and deep conversation by Lake Erie that left Nicholas catching his breath and Sara with a touch of sunburn on her freckles.

In many ways, lockdowns and closures left these open books with little in the way of the common early-relationship distractions like movies, bars, or concerts. Instead, they were free to scour each other's pages and know each other in ways that many people take years to culture, if at all. They knew quickly that they wished for nothing more than to be shelved together for eternity, and when Nicholas proposed on Christmas in 2021, Sara was all too happy to agree.

In the time since, love has blossomed into a family that leans on each other for strength, whispers kindness through tears, and yearns for a brighter future ahead. We are ecstatic to have all of our closest family and friends by our side as we celebrate our joy and begin the rest of our lives together.
