We met on a beautiful Sunday in April 2022 at the Missouri Botanical Garden. The conversation flowed naturally from the start and it was quickly apparent something good was brewing. Bridget knew Sara was special when Sara saved the worlds tiniest turtle from being stepped on by all the Garden guests.

Following the Garden, we went to the City Park Grill for a drink and some nachos. After that, we went on a walk with Sara’s pup Rosa (who quickly became Bridget’s best friend). From that day forward, we were inseparable and it took a very short time to know this is exactly what we were looking for!

Three months later, Sara and Rosa moved into Bridget’s apartment and we slowly started merging our lives. In December 2022, Bridget surprised Sara by proposing surrounded by Christmas Lights, back to where it all started, at the Botanical Gardens. The next day, Sara proposed back in their apartment with pictures and candles and it was official - we were getting married!

Three months later, we moved into a new, larger apartment and quickly added Benson to the Massie-McCann wolfpack.

To say we are lucky to have found each other would be an understatement. We both love true crime, being outside, physical fitness and what we've lovingly dubbed bedtime book club.

We both never wanted a big wedding and hate being at the center of attention. (That is Rosa's job!) We talked through a lot of options of what felt like us and finally landed on the perfect plan. We are going to be married in Tower Grove Park with our pups and surrounded by the memories of our first date. We are so excited to have the wedding that is uniquely us and that celebrates our love.
