In 2019, Sara had just finished her freshman year at Kent State University, and Jake had just started his junior year. We had both come home for summer vacation and happened to be swiping on the dating app Bumble. We matched, started texting, and got to know each other!

After chatting, Jake posted a picture with his mom for Mother's Day, and Sara immediately recognized the woman in the picture! Years before our meeting, Sara had met Jake's mom during one summer when both Sara and Jake's brothers played on the same baseball team in 2014/2015! Memories flashed back to Sara when talking to Jake's mom years ago of her telling Sara she had a son about her age. Timelines never correlated, and we never ended up meeting that summer. When Jake posted the picture on Mother's Day in 2019, Sara quickly explained the background of knowing his mother!

Finally, after many days of texting and getting to know each other, we finally met in person and have been inseparable ever since! After years of being long-distance in college, our relationship has grown stronger, and the day has finally come! We are getting married!
